Questions
- Can I change an external monitor's brightness from my Mac?
- Yes. Overswan sets the brightness of external monitors, with your keyboard's brightness keys if you like, and dims in software the ones that ignore brightness changes.
- Can I control fan speed on a Mac?
- On Macs with fans, Overswan can hold them at a speed or follow a temperature curve (beta). Fanless Macs like the MacBook Air are cooled passively.
- Does the monitor slow my Mac down?
- No. It measures only while something shows it, like the panel or a menu bar readout, and stops completely when you turn it off.
