Terms
Updated November 5, 2026
About these terms
These terms cover your use of overswan.app, and buying and using Overswan, a Mac app. Overswan is made by Vivek Gowda S, an individual based in Bengaluru, India. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Vivek Gowda S.
By using the site, or buying or using Overswan, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. If you have a question, email support@overswan.app.
Purchases
Overswan is sold by Dodo Payments, our reseller and merchant of record, which handles payment, tax and invoices. Its terms apply to your purchase too, and you’ll see them at checkout. The price is shown before you pay; taxes are added where they apply.
A launch offer, when there is one, applies to everyone, is shown wherever the price is, and ends when we say it does. Buying before or after an offer doesn’t entitle you to a different price.
Refunds
If Overswan isn’t right for you, you can get a full refund within 14 days of buying it, no questions asked, as Refunds explains. A refunded license stops working.
Your license
- A license is a one-time purchase. It’s for you, on up to 2 Macs that you use.
- Each Mac you activate keeps the license, also after you reinstall macOS. To move it to a repaired or replaced Mac, write to us.
- Every 1.x update is included. A future 2.0, if there is one, may be a new purchase.
- Overswan checks its license with our server when it opens and about once a day, and keeps working offline for up to 30 days at a time.
- A license that was refunded or disputed, or bought with a stolen card or otherwise by fraud, stops working.
- The license lets you use Overswan; it doesn’t sell you the software itself, which stays ours.
Using Overswan
Overswan changes how your Mac behaves only where you turn a tool on, and anything it removes goes to the Trash so you can get it back. Some tools use macOS permissions you choose to give. Use Overswan lawfully, and only on Macs you’re allowed to change. Overswan needs macOS 26 Tahoe or later.
Intellectual property
The Overswan name and icon, the app, its artwork and the content of this website belong to Vivek Gowda S. Please don’t copy, reuse, reverse engineer or redistribute them without permission, except where the law allows it.
Overswan is independent and isn’t affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc. Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.
Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- Share, sell or publish your license key, or use one that isn’t yours.
- Try to get around the license check, or change the app to do so.
- Use scripts, bots or other automated tools on the site or its checkout.
- Attack the site or our server, try to get around their security or overload them.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
We provide the website and Overswan as they are. We work to keep them accurate, available and working well, but we can’t promise they’ll always be error-free or online, and macOS updates can change what Overswan can do.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for anything to do with Overswan is limited to what you paid for it.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, or takes away your rights under consumer protection law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, India, decide any dispute about them. If you’re a consumer living in another country, you also keep any protections its law gives you.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant, we’ll say so on overswan.app.
If you have a question about these terms, email support@overswan.app.
